Description
Cady Finlayson's fiddle music has been called "uplifting", "spirited", and "soulful". From her first fiddle show in the U.S. Virgin Islands to her Carnegie Hall appearance for the NYPD Memorial Concert, Cady has brought her spirited Irish fiddling to 25 states and 3 countries.
Cady Finlayson spent two summers at the World Music Centre in Limerick Ireland, and her Harp and Shamrock CD features her favorite tunes from that experience, as well as some original melodies and a variety of acoustic instruments. She is joined by some of Nashville's finest musicians including:
Elkin Brown-guitar, Jim Roberts-percussion, Rex McGee-banjo, John Mock-mandolin,concertina, tin whistle,bodhran, Cynthia Wyatt-harp, Shane Theriot-electric guitar/bass, David DiGuiseppe-accordian.
Cady Finlayson currently fronts her own Irish band based in New York City, which specializes in Irish music with a worldbeat groove and includes singer Honor Finnegan,Tim Alworth (bodhran) and Kyle Sanna (guitar), as well as guest musicians and Irish step-dancers. In addition to her own band, Cady Finlayson is the fiddle soloist for the Police Pipes and Drums of Bergen County, performing in concert halls nationwide.
