Description
Tyler Andrews, the son of a Methodist pastor, has played the piano since he was six years old. His musical background includes such instruments as the trumpet and percussion, but his natural, creative gift has always brought him back to the piano. Tyler has toured with Country, Rock, Jazz, Blues, and Reggae bands, and along the way his eclectic playing style and powerful message have created a regional as well as international following. He recorded and produced his first CD, "The Gospel According to Groove," at the age of twenty-one. The CD sold so quickly as to require a second pressing.
Tyler's ministry of music has primarily been focused in the Midwest, but he has performed his upbeat and spiritual music in twenty-three states and has been heard on such programs as National Public Radio's "All Things Considered." He has played in a variety of venues, including church services, conventions, small clubs and large concert halls. Tyler's unforgettable spin on familiar hymnals and his celebratory original selections have created an undeniable buzz in both religious and music communities.
Tyler currently lives in Fargo, N.D. where he is a student at North Dakota State University. His website is www.tylerandrews.net.
