Description
The Ivory Tower Project(ITP) officially started in 1989 by veteran songwriters of the NY music scene Johnny Jace and Mark Regula. The first to be recruited into the band was guitarist Tony Novarro. Novarro & Regula became the core of the ITP. As band members left, they were replaced by the NY Metro area's finest studio musicians which transcended Ivory Tower from being a band, into a Project.
By the end of 2000 the Ivory Tower Project was signed to Guerrilla Records and the label released "My Name" as their first official single. In the winter 2001, Guerrilla Records released ITP's 4 song EP of radio edited tracks entitled "Red Hot"; featuring Richie Cannata (formerly with BILLY JOEL) on sax, and Ivan Elias (formerly with PATTY SMYTH & SCANDAL) on bass.
After its international release in 2003, "Red Hot" received rave reviews and air-play in Canada, UK, USA, Central and South America, Australia and all across Europe, propelling ITP onto the international stage. "Red Hot" has now received air play on over 200 radio stations in 20 countries.
