Description
Ken Kaufman is Western New York's most prolific composer, having penned hundreds of jingles, several musicals and two feature films. From his studies at Eastman, to his years in "The Road", and as organist for the Sabres of Buffalo, New York, Ken brings his eclectic talents to his jingle company, Adsongs, and now, to Relax with Swann.
Sounds from around the world are depicted in "Rhythms of the World":
Native American rhythms resonate throughout "Autumn of Tranquility" with his use of electric piano, harp, temple blocks, recorder, and strings.
Ken's artistry comes alive in "Reflections of Winter", an original piece with an American flare, created with the use of piano, bass strings, and oboe.
Strings, inspired by the sacred sites of Machu Picchu and Kyoto bring out the Asian flavor of "Showers of Spring".
And "Serenity of Summer" is sprinkled with electric piano, xylophone, bass, shakers, guitar, strings and flute to help put you in a tropical mood.
Dave Howell describes "Rhythms of the World" in Rambles as: "...decidedly for relaxation. It is so new age, it makes George Winston sound like Jerry Lee Lewis. It would be excellent for yoga, massage, or guided meditations...Piano/keyboard triplets maintain a soothing background while the other instruments provide the 'international' flavor..."
These soothing melodies also complement the narrative performed by Kathleen Swann in "Seasons of Serenity". We hope you'll try this interesting presentation of progressive muscle relaxation.
Come. Relax with Swann. Enjoy.
