Why in the world would all of these superbly talented people, guest appear on an album by a band that no one has ever heard of? With praise like, "Best Kept Secret" in the L.A. Weekly, a feature article in Rolling Stone, as well as raves in Details, Detour, and many favorable words in the Los Angeles Times, they are known as a great band, with great musicians, who were even better songwriters.
The songs and performances of ALL DAY SUCKER'S songwriting pair of Jordan Summers (Keyboards) and Morty Coyle (Vocals) along with Mott Smith (Bass), Noah Shain (Drums) and Jimmy Oleson (Guitar) have been utilized on the soundtracks of many feature films and television shows. They include MTV's Carmen & Dave: Till Death Do Us Part, Road Rules, The Real World, Road Rules/Real World Challenge, ABC's Making the Band, The Dating Experiment, HBO's The Immortals, Disney's Z Games and the feature films $pent from Regent Entertainment and Matters of Consequence (Best Picture/New Orleans Film Festival).
ALL DAY SUCKER sticks with what they know best - playing catchy pop that includes all that was ever greatly musical about rock. With bits and pieces of British flavored "blue-eyed soul", the hook-heavy faded denim of the seventies, and the over-the-top, anything goes flair of a Broadway musical, ALL DAY SUCKER fuses "classic" and "timeless" without ever going "retro". They were raised to the strains of a particularly eclectic KROQ at a time when "alternative" really meant that something was unique and divergent from the norm. And being permanent fixtures in the broad musical tapestry of L.A., this city has certainly had its affect on them. You couldn't throw a stone in this town without hitting someone who knows and reveres Morty Coyle as a local DJ and music personality and ALL DAY SUCKER as a favorite L.A. band.
"We are so reverential about songwriting that, within our process, the song takes over everything for us," says Summers. "We want the songs to out live us. It's not often that songs and music can be both memorable and meaningful." Their style ranges from melodic rock, to soulful grooves, to today's contemporary hook-driven hits. They continually write those very catchy songs that people can't help but sing along with. The general Hollywood crowd - who are usually too cool for anything - are continually coming to their shows, asking for CD's, and raving about the band. Of late, Atlantic recording artist O.P.M. has just covered and collaborated with them on a new arrangement of their song "Rub It In". "At the very least it's flattering - it's great feedback that we are doing something right," says Summers.
With a following that most bands would kill for, ALL DAY SUCKER prepare to step out of their past and foster what their fans already know and others have recognized. According to America Online's Digital City, "LA's favorite rock act delivers a high energy show. Singer Morty Coyle's soulful voice is complemented by the band's uplifting performances. Their songs are instantly memorable with a rare blend of grooving riffs, captivating hooks, and skillfully crafted pop-rock compositions". Even the most serious of critics would have to give the music a full-throttled thumbs-up. The words of website Real.com rave that "the band mixes pop and soul nicely, has a great piano player, and a singer who is casually brilliant." With that part well intact, ALL DAY SUCKER is radio-ready, fan-tested, and critically acclaimed.

REVIEWS:
ALL DAY SUCKER are plenty polished and impressive. With fun funky riffs, clever lyrics and Coyle's own distinctive vocals, ALL DAY SUCKER is pop art disguised as a party album. The album kicks off on a high note with "Get High", which is not, despite the title, a pro-drug anthem. The obvious single on the album is "Worst Case Scenario", which is the story of a man-child of the late 70's/early 80's trying to bridge the gap... and perhaps bed... a younger, raver-type chick... and failing. The cheeky lyrics and fun pop culture references ("I've never seen 'Star Wars' and I don't think I'm gonna get involved with a guy who used to masturbate to Madonna.") are accented beautifully by the faux Cars/E.L.O. production touches. Other highlights on the album include "Heavy Weather", which ends on an enjoyably shameless Beatles-eque refrain; "Loving Room", the spirited duet with Save Ferris' Monique Powell; "Hey Kid" (Angry Young Mantra) and "Foundation"... the last two of which feature Coyle's most impressive and passionate vocals. By the final track, "Rub It In", ALL DAY SUCKER feels wrapped up in a fun, tidy package which left this listener wanting more.

The first man I thought of when I heard this album was my Melodic Net-mate Kaj. He will L O V E this band and their lovely mix of powerpop, "pomp"flirts, groove and melodic orgasms... And probably the main part of our openminded readers as well. Cause this is sure a talented 5 piece band.
And reading their biography explains a bit their professionalism cause they used to be the cultrated band The iMPOSTERS that gained a great cultstatus on the american musicscene in the late 90s/early 2000s when they toured together with bands like Better Than Ezra, Tonic, Wallflowers and Counting Crows just to mention four. But I actually find this new outfit even better. Cause this album really "rocks" with all its influences. Cuz if you love Robbie Williams sort of groovy pop mixed with... hmmm... lets say one spoon of Jon Brion and that sort of cool powerpop, one spoon of Dan Reed Networks sort of "funk"rock, one spoon of Weezer and hell yeah... 100 of other cool influences... youll love this CD. Best songs? Well youre deaf if you dont love "Worst Case Scenario" (lovely lyrics btw) and "Die Together"... just mentioning two...The whole album is a cool fresh wind on the modern pop and rock scene... And well... we didnt expect anything else when Evan Frankfort is the man behind the production did we? Nah didnt think so... And what do you give me for these cool guests...
