Description
People, I'm not going to lie to you. Fooled By April is a fun band, but a pain in the ass to describe. Some people say that they're sort of like the bastard son of Cheap Trick and Fountains of Wayne, while others compare them more to what the Clash might have been had they listened to a lot more KISS.
Perhaps the most apt label that has been applied to them is "Hi-Fi Garage," acknowledging that as much as they bring a ragged rock and roll enthusiasm to their music, it is always tempered by the need to get those four part harmonies just right.
But one thing is certain, if you're in the market for shoegazer whining or indie rock posturing you best look elsewhere - these guys just want to make you dance.
And right now lots of people are dancing. The song "Nice to See You" is currently being featured in the ABC Family Channel's promotions for it's fall lineup, while "Inspiration" and "What You Do" will both be included in upcoming DVD releases of Dawson's Creek and Party of Five.
