Description
Emerging from the South Carolina music scene is promising, new artist Leslie Berry.
Leslie brings her unique vocal delivery, impressive piano-playing skills, and musicianship to her songs. In partnership with songwriter/producer David Berry, her self-titled debut is an eclectic mix of pop, rock, classical, and folk influences blended together to create an innovative sound she describes as "progressive pop".
The songs on this CD range from "Remembering Alberto", which is based on an Argentinian dance from a ballet written by composer Alberto Ginastera, to "Clothes Don't Make the Man", which has a funky, Motown sound, to "27 Years" with it's beautiful melodic writing and sophisticated choral and string arrangements.
Another track included on this web page is "Dream Love, One Man", a rock song told from the perspective of a woman wondering if she'll ever find the man of her dreams.
If you liked Natalie Imbruglia's "Torn" then you will like this song, too.
