Description

Born and raised just thirty minutes from Indiana's own rock legend John Mellencamp, David has been surrounded by music for his entire life. Listening to everything from Bach to ZZ Top as a young boy, the now eighteen-year-old singer and songwriter picked up a guitar at the age of thirteen and has been writing music relentlessly ever since.

After playing with a band in Columbus, Indiana for two years called Trial and Error and performing with talented musicians, such as Chris Shaffer from the Why Store, David is now taking his solo act on the road in support of his first self-released album "Where I Belong."

David's ability to howl in a deep, sandpapery growl one minute and sing in an angelic, ballad-style voice the next leaves crowds begging for more. One of the funniest and most talented acoustic artists out there, David likes to use his performances to everyone's advantage, benefiting such organizations as the United Way and the Turning Point Shelter for Battered Women.

"Where I Belong" is comparable to Ben Harper's Live from Mars acoustic disc, but what sets David apart from anyone else in the music biz is his poetic writing style. Throughout the album, you can hear the lyrical genius of a writer who admits that what drives his music is that he "certainly doesn't have everything figured out just yet." Put this album in your CD player, and you will be amazed that this artist just graduated high school!
