Chemical Jazz
CatDesigners
Eclectic, emotive and evocative indie driven by a blend of acoustic and electric guitars.... somewhere between Bowie, Beck, Brel, Blur and Buckley (but one more in the alphabet).

Description
"One of the underground's best-kept secrets" (Tim Peacock, Whisperin' & Hollerin')
Eclectic, emotive and evocative indie ... CatDesigners experiment with full versus minimalist arrangements and give impressions of thoughts and feelings connected with events that are never quite described. There are beautiful songs and dirty little homages to loved and lost bands.
Led by Nick Troop, CatDesigners are based in Bethnal Green in London, UK, and we would describe our music as somewhere between Bowie, Beck, Brel, Blur and Buckley.
Although modesty and natural British reserve prevents us from blowing our own horns, here are a few comments from the critics:
"Chemical Jazz" is one hell of a calling card. If you're a creative person in the midst of a bit of a slump, it may even make you feel a little inadequate. You've been warned. (George Zahora, Splendid E-zine)
[Chemical Jazz] showcased a fertile mind in overdrive and at home with exciting eclecticism ... with a knack for subverting genres ... a defiantly square peg where the round hole pigeonholers are concerned. Nick Troop is very surely a man to watch. (Tim Peacock, Whisperin' & Hollerin')
CatDesigners are a prolific and intriguing indie band. Their singer/guitarist and songwriter Nick Troop seems to have some fascinating ideas on how to make music. "Chemical Jazz" is a multi-layered, impressive debut. (Anna Maria Stjrnell, Luna Kafe)
