Description
Darryl Hill performed all music on Hootin The Blues with Various Guitars, Bass, Korg Trinity WorkStation, Blues Harp, and captured audio with a Korg D1200 Digital Recording Studio. Except jam session on track 8 which was captured one night in an impromptu jam at some friends and was recorded on a Yamaha Hard Disk Recorder.
I have been a player since the late 60's in several bands and in the early 70's I was in heaven playing the chittlin' circuit with the late "Luther Snakeboy Johnson" after leaving Luther I set out to absorb Jazz, Acoustic sides of music like fingerstyle blues and try my hand at Alternate Tunings such as DADGAD.
Now that the technology has evolved to the point of home studio recording being on a par with commercial giants, I knew this was new stomping grounds. And with people like CD Baby supporting the indie artist I see music and artists being heard that probably never would have happened. With this new palette of colors I hope to bring as much enjoyment and inspiration to others as I have making the music.
