Description
Coming to CDBaby in July Tuesday Afternoon - Showin' Tell 1st full length CD produced by Jason Rubal
Smokey blues style singer meets hard rock drummer. The result is a musical chemistry that captivates listeners. Musically their lyrics are themes of love/hate and the complexities of relationships. "So how can you deny whose name you bear? I don't think you understand love, I don't think you care!" The lyrics pour out of Jeska's mouth straight from her soul. The Philadelphia based musician offers a glimpse into her deepest feelings.
Showin' Tell's listeners can truly feel her pain in songs like "Removed You" and "Only Human" which showcase Jeska's smoky soulful voice driven by Nicolino's powerful drum style.
Audiences have responded positively to the band's performances at major Philadelphia venues such as: The Mazda Rev It Up Event and Lincoln Financial Field (home of the Eagles) where they performed a pre-game show for Temple's homecoming game. The band has also performed at Philadelphia's Original Music "Hotspots" such as The Pontiac Grille, Abilene, and The Trocadero.
They recently finished filming for the soon to be released film "Thorn". The song "Sorry" from the band's demo CD (2003) will be on the soundtrack and on a music compilation CD.
Songs from the demo as well as from their recent EP release "Adoration" can be heard on Philadelphia radio station WYSP.
A former Miss Teen USA NJ, Jeska was the lead vocalist in her cover band, Pop Culture. She traveled all over the tri-state area for private parties and club gigs. The band had been very successful, but she wanted to do more then cover the classics, she wanted to sing her own material. She has been studying voice since 1989 with coaches Sal Dupree, Robert Marks, and Bill Deal. She also expanded her training to include electric guitar. Jeska has been in the entertainment field for over fifteen years, appearing in national print campaigns, TV shows including Conan O'Brien, and a feature role in the Mariah Carey video "Always Be My Baby" playing a young Mariah.
