Description
S. J. Tucker has followed her guitar throughout the south and the midwest for the past seven years. She continues to expand her fanbase locally and worldwide. Her fiercely loyal following knows to expect no less than beauty from her. (Zombie music...Jooooiiinnnn uuuuusssss....*wink!) Fans from age three to age eighty keep her going strong. With her forthright original style, S. J. brings music with subject matter ranging from truth to legend and back. Her huge voice belies her small stature, and she's not afraid to use that voice. S. J.'s music celebrates airplay in Memphis, New Orleans, Ohio, and elsewhere. An Arkansas native raised by musicians, S. J. has enjoyed slowly spreading success since moving to Memphis in 2001. She brings a truly conscious tone to the music scene with her new release, Haphazard, which, though quite the raw recording, is an accurate document of her sound and her spirit. Live shows currently see S. J. working under the band name Skinny White Chick with her percussionist Jay "Trainwreck" Timbs. The two are at home at any event, in any setting, and they have a blast.
