Description
Under the direction of Chief Musician Phillip Peterson, the Grace Seattle Experimental Orchestra introduces a fresh voice to sacred music. Combining ancient and modern musical influences and instrumentation, the Orchestra's hymns invite celebration, contemplation, and worship.
The Grace Seattle Experimental Orchestra involves musicians of impressive talent and diverse backgrounds. The Orchestra has performed at Seattle's Benaroya Hall, including the 2004 premiere of an original oratorio. The Orchestra also provides worship music for weekly services at Grace Church Seattle (www.graceseattle.org).
Depth of Mercy is the Orchestra's second release. Except when using traditional tunes, music and arrangement of each hymn is Peterson's original composition.
