Description
Jakarta Skyscraper was formed by Denise Bonis and Eric Forst in March of 2003. Denise is a Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter currently residing in New Orleans while recording her 4th solo record. Her first record was produced by Lisa Germano and Denise supported Lisa on her Lullaby for Liquid Pig tour in 2003. Denise is a Virginia native who has studied at the Berklee College of Music. Her most recent record, Imperfect Authentic Cadence is available from Setting Records. On Jakarta Skyscraper, Denise sings and plays guitar, violin and keyboards. Eric Forst is also a Los Angeles-based Virginia native. Forst played in The Frogs, Frances Gumm, and Menthol Hill. He holds an MFA in poetry from the University of Massachusetts. His poems have appeared in The Baffler and Conduit. On Jakarta Skyscraper, Eric sings and plays bass, clarinet and drums.
