Ah, Skyypilot- from our humble beginnings on the stage at Dragon Hills June 20, 2002, to our present form- what a transformation! I officially re-entered the music field with my production of "Spiral Rhythm's" "I Am" cd in 2001. I started live performance again after a layoff of 23 years as a djembe fill-in with "Spiral Rhythm" (since then, I've become a regular member and then, with Kerri and Ric as "Skyypilot". Larry Tracy, bassist, asked me if I would like his assistance, and my lovely wife, Beth, graciously volunteered her vocals- thus Skyypilot took flight.
Thanks for checking us out! It's a pleasure to meet and play for y'all. Please keep in touch and we'll come back atcha soon!
Bright Blessings,
Mark

I love to sing.....to sing for spirit
I sing in as many bands as I can .
Skyypilot, (an instrumental and vocal group) enables me to do something I have wanted for a long time.....share my spirit with my family. In doing so I have found a new voice and I love it.
And Spiral Rhythm (an a cappella and percussion group that was formed many years ago) is where I found the source of what I hold sacred.
Every day I do my best to fill my life with what I hold sacred, sing for spirit, paint for spirit. I have recently taken my art to the next level....sharing with others, doing shows, and commission work. It is very cool sharing visions and painting them. I am also doing a coloring book, and maybe even cards with my dearest friend, Kiki...she is adding her beautiful words to my fabulous art...
In addition I own my own business, Spiral Moon, that allows me to live the gypsy life I love. Wandering the country meeting many kinds of people on an infinite number of paths. I give thanks.
In the future I look forward to more explorations of spirit in song, art, (and wish there were more hours in the day) and life.

In 1994 I moved to Atlanta, GA, where I met Kerri, Jon and Trey; the friends who gifted me with my first drum. I started doing the Gathering Tour with Kerri & Jon as part of the business, Spiral Moon. While at gatherings, our tribe of friends evolved. Drumming and singing were natural outgrowths of the times gathered around the fires and campsites. The desire to sing was shared by many so we formed Spiral Rhythm a singing and percussion group.
"When I was young I used to listen to the radio, waiting for my favorite songs; when they played I'd sing along, it made me smile."...A song quote from when it all began for me.
I have spent a fair amount of time on the road and look forward to new experiences with old and new friends. God is the Everything I want to Share with as many people as possible.

I've been playing bass for twenty-eight years, working with all kinds of groups ranging from high school bands to a community symphony to formerly famous folks like Steve Marriott and William Bell (who? -exactly). I quit playing in bands in my late 20's after my third group in a row self-destructed while getting college airplay and negotiating a record deal (maybe somebody was trying to tell me something). I went on to work with folks that have sold tens of millions of records as a sound man live and in the studio - I even got to jam with some of them. Hopefully I learned something in the process.

Marks wife + Kerris mom = 1 gracefully ageing hippy re-living her former
folk-groupie life. Singing has always been one of the loves of my life. My
Grandmother wanted me to be a classical musician but I wanted to be Joan
Baez. I will let you guess who won. Whenever you can bring who you
love and what you love together life is good. To be able to sing harmonies
with Mark and Kerri is absolutely the best! Marks songs are poetry and I
am proud to be part of their interpretation.
