Greywolf
This album (acoustic/electric/hand-made instruments) is envisioned with a 60s & 70s concept of a 'new sound' of Folk/Pop/Americana music, when music mirrored the changing times and lyrics were soulfully crafted to reach the spirit like Bob Dylan & The Bea

Description
"Directions," by the Band, 'Greywolf,' is a 'new sound' in Folk/Pop/Americana music, using acoustic/electric/hand-made instruments, all totally real: homemade music spun by the rare talents of National & World fiddle champion Randy Elmore, the upside down/sideways electric lead guitar of Chris Thornberg, multi-instrumentalist Gary Mann, Henry Sapp, formerly of Willie Nelson's band, young drummer
Aaron Brown and the multi-instrumentalist/singer-songwriter/producer,
Jason Leigh.
~(This album is Not solely Native American music).
* Jason Leigh is Interviewed in 'Unsigned Magazine,' released April, 2005, issue #9, about his band, 'Greywolf,' the History of Folk/Americania music and the making of "Directions." 'Unsigned Magazine' is THE magazine of & for Indie Artists! Read and or download (pdf) the article FREE: http://unsignedmusicmag.com/archive.htm
This album has truth-telling, 'down-to-the-bone' lyrics, upbeat, leg-shaking music, blatantly honest ballads and 'anti-dishonest-politician' songs ;-) of OUR direly needed times. Greywolf's songs are the voice crying 'to' the wilderness!
We can't say that Jason Leigh 'sounds like,' anyone else, or that he has been more influenced by such and such; he does have his own writing style, which is in the truest sense of Folk-Rock/Pop/Americana music to be sure of, and he has loved almost 'all' of the music presented since Woody and Leadbelly, to Bob Dylan, Gordon Lightfoot, The Beatles and John Prine: they 'all' have made their impression. Jason hopes to make his upon you.

* Note to the below: we have just heard, 3/31/05, that the 'Imus Ranch for kids with cancer' is under investigation. As such, we will hold all payments until this is cleared up, as we started this because we believed in the 'effort' for the kids with cancer; not in Mr. Imus' business dealings.
(10% of all sales go to The Imus Ranch for children with cancer).
