Description
L.E. Stokes spent her childhood divided between Reno Nevada and Dallas Texas. She came out to California to attend Pepperdine University where she studied music. Her study focussed primarily on Classical music with training in opera, choral music, and musical theater. Shortly after leaving college, she chose to pursue songwriting. She decided that if she was going to express passion, it should be her own. Her music offers a candid look at what it is to be a 20 something in Los Angeles, a woman in a post modern world, a child, an adult, a human being trying to find meaning in all her experiences. From the casinos of Nevada, to the country clubs of Texas, to the celebrities of Malibu, L.E. discovered that there are struggles that unite us all. Through poignant lyrics that explore the intricacies of confusion and self-doubt there is a celebration of the absurdity and order of life. She has played to crowds in California, Texas, Scotland, England, and France. Her music is a true reflection of her life. An uncompromising and steady voice juxtaposed by asking the questions that are on everyone's mind. You may find that you hear echoes of singer/songwriter's that have gone before. Listen to this cd and see that L.E. Stokes has more than just good intentions.
