Description

Singer-songwriter Nanette Malher considers herself, foremost, a storyteller. Her songs are compelling stories of events, people and places recorded from her own experience--or her close encounters with the universal you and me--and besides being very telling, they are hauntingly beautiful.

Compassionate, they are stories that are the whispers of truth, and she sings them like a prayer. Reverent, they are the tales of the lost and found, narratives of those who run away and those who stay, parables of those who seek to go beyond the realm of understanding. It is songwriting that speaks to many of us, who, in the words of the songwriter, "need mercy most of all."

Titled Mercy, Nanette's CD features her talents as a musician, arranger and producer, and defies musical categorization. She regards it as "intelligent, alternative pop."

Currently living in Nashville, Nanette has worked with some of the finest musicians in the business: the legendary Felix Cavaliere of the Young Rascals (recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame), Larry Hoppen of Orleans and Grammy award-winning producer/drummer Craig Krampf, to name a few. A master of piano, keyboards and acoustic guitar, she has written film scores and created music for radio and television commercials.
