Rob Tobias performs songs with universal themes that celebrate the spiritual in everyday life with humor and hope.
Rob Tobias' music has been described as upbeat and inspirational and draws on musical forms from blues, folk, pop, reggae, swing, country as well as Jewish.
Rob Tobias released his first album, "Constant Rain" in 1994 and "Bagel Roots & Water Dogs" was released in 1998.
The new CD, "Sparks" was released in December 2000.
Rob Tobias has performed at national conferences such as CAJE (Coalition for Alternatives in Jewish Education) and the Kallah and has also played harmonica with Peter Himmelman on one of his Eugene concerts.
Rob Tobias and Friends perform at clubs, bookstores, Jewish celebrations, and festivals such as Northwest Folklife (Seattle), The Willamette Valley Folk Festival (Eugene), and The Oregon Country Fair (Veneta).
Rob is also a member of Eugene Playback Theatre in which he improvises music while actors playback life stories from the audience.
