ABOUT THE SONGS:
Aura Of Grace" opens up with a dreamy piano, angelic harmony vocals and a hauntingly sad end acoustic guitar delayed notes. Glenn says the lyrics in this song are about the way people perceive him and it's a complimentary payback to all of those who took notice in his abilities.
"Hands Across The Universe" was coincidentally written on October 9th, 1993 (John Lennon's Birthday). The song in itself lyrically is about the prejudices and judgments people make in our society towards one another. It's about unity and coming together in the act of love and not hatred. Glenn says " We are all spirit beings having a human experience and not the other way around". Musically the song has a nice elemental feel to it that is reminiscent of The Beatles "Dear Prudence" and can be seen as a 21st Century version of John Lennon's, "Imagine".
"Seeing Is Believing" is a hard rocking song about taking chances and making a difference in the world that we live in. As Glenn sings in the chorus "Change is good, growth is optional", seeing is believing is very poignant and leaves plenty of room for the imagination.
"I Love You" is a Caribbean style ballad, blended with John Lennon's, "Starting Over" The song is about finding your soul mate and loving someone unconditionally. The romantically colorful acoustic guitar solo leaves you day dreaming of being on a deserted island. Jenna Ferone's harmony vocals are quite breathtaking and brings an element of soul to this love song.
"I'm Not Angry Anymore" is about one's search for enlightenment and not living in the past.
"Don't Get My Hopes Up" is a funk- reggae influenced song that deals with the false promise one makes in relationships. The first guitar solo sounds like 2 lovers meeting destiny at a train station. You tend to wonder what he's feeling in that emotion. The guitar solo at the end of the song sounds like Carlos Santana and leaves you on a natural high.
"Mystical Lady" opens up with a gospel female singer named Cheyenne Summer. The song has a 1960's feel about falling in love for the first time and cherishing those memories. Jenna Ferone does a wonderful job singing harmony vocals on this song. The acoustic guitar solo at the end is very Spanish sounding and leaves you wanting more romance.
"So Down" is about Elizabeth Wurtzel whose book "Prozac Nation" inspired Glenn to write an autobiographical song about someone he doesn't even personally but knew lots of people who were like her. The song is about self- medicating one's self. There's a deeper meaning hidden within the song that says anyone can overcome emotional pain if they just ask for help.
"Love Conquers All" is a beautiful tribute for all the children who lost their parent on 9/11. Glenn says the lyrics are probably the most heartfelt yet intense words he's ever written. He thought of it from a child's perspective in what they would say. In the chorus it goes on to say how love heals and forgives all.
"Echoes Of Paradise" is a ten year old song like Aura Of Grace & Hands Across The Universe. Glenn wrote this for those who fear to live life to it's fullest and for those who are afraid of dying. "When I wrote Echoes Of Paradise, I always had this vision of having a Orchestra playing on it. Without me mentioning this to Skip (Moxx), he added violins to make the song truly shine as if he was reading my mind. Hearing the song after it was recorded with the violins literally gave me the chills", says Glenn.
"Be Careful What You Wish For" is a melodic piece of music that's under 3 minutes long. Musically inspired by Gen X's, Kiss Me Deadly record featuring "Dancing With Myself" and Billy Idol's first solo album ,you can clearly hear Idol's influence here. Glenn says the song is about how we create our own realities by the thoughts we think and how we are all in control of our destiny.
"Trinity" the closing track was written in March 2003. Glenn says he felt many angelic beings channeling through him while recording this song. Trinity starts off with the lyrics saying "It's 4:44 am" (which is known as Angel time). In the chorus the great mystery begins with Glenn managing to have the voice of Grace who is his Angel and future daughter adding her presence to make the song more heavenly. Trinity ends with the sounds of water at exactly 4:44 minutes, leaving the listener feeling a sense of peace and tranquility.
