Description
KING STREET KIDS
Four talented young singers from Aberdeen, Scotland, recorded their first commercial release at Easter, 1996.
The King Street Kids are Paul Black, Jenny Love, Gillian
Walker, and Joshua Anderson Wright. It was released on
July 1, gaining airplay on Radio City in Liverpool, England,
Moray Firth radio in Inverness, and WestSound, in Ayr,
Scotland, and is aimed at music lovers young and old, with
four new songs, including the lead track, "Scouser". This
is a fun song about an adoreable young "tomboy" girl. People
from Liverpool, England, are affectionately known as
"Scousers".
They went on to record and release a second, limited edition
MC, with four new Festive songs specially written for them,
with Joshua singing the solo on the lead track,
"As Christmas Day Draws Near" - which highlights the plight
of street orphans in different parts of the world. "Midnight Magic" was played on London's Classic FM.
