Description
Scott McKnight is lifelong DC-area resident. He started playing at a local clubs in the mid-1970s. He played in DC pop band The Neighbors from 1985-1989, his own band Naughty Pine, Kevin Johnson & the Linemen from 1991-2000, The Grandsons, and in Last Train Home since 2000. He is a very busy man.
The songs on Scott's debut double-CD, "It Works For Me," were recorded in various Northern Virgina basements and bedrooms and DC rehearsal studios between 1986 and 1999. Scott is well-known as one of the best songwriters in the DC area, and his songs have been covered by many artists. Some examples of his best-known songs are "It Works for Me", "One of Those Lives," and "The Big Mistake (Was Yours)" (all covered by The Grandsons), "Wouldn't Be Easy" and "Written on My Heart" (covered by Kevin Johnson), and "All Gone Now" and "I Recall Thinking" and "All Eyes Go" (covered by Last Train Home).
