After The Fall EP
Amy Clarke
Beautifully raw vocals, wicked piano skills, and dramatic orchestration, this EP touches on issues of social justice, anti-war, & themes of loss and longing for a better world, moving from emotional acoustic piano to synth-rock anthems.

Description
NYC singer, songwriter, & keyboardist AMY CLARKE delivers powerful, dramatic music with intelligent lyrics and emotional depth. Blending her classical training & soulful vocals with eclectic international influences, she is a dynamic performing artist - commanding either a grand piano or synth keyboard while mixing effects on the fly.
Passionate. Progressive. Personal.
Born in Silver Spring, Maryland, Amy was playing and singing at the piano before she was 4 years old. A dynamic & versatile performing artist, she trained to be a concert pianist through high school, then left private classical study to write her own music while performing at Georgetown University, The Studio Theatre, and other professional stages in Washington, DC.
Since moving to New York City, Clarke has performed successful solo sets in both Manhattan & Williamsburg, Brooklyn, including Pianos, The Bitter End, The Triad, CB's 313 Gallery, The C-Note, Kavehaz, Caffe Vivaldi, The Duplex, PS 122, Starlight, M1-5, Sin Sin, Laila Lounge, Life Cafe, The Slipper Room, M Shanghai Den (residency), in benefits for Theatres Against War, The Sturm Und Drang Theatre Company, FHB Theater Productions, Planned Parenthood, Habitat for Humanity International, Off-Broadway, and on local, cable & internet TV.
In 2006, Amy recorded, produced, and released her timely, socially conscious EP After The Fall on her label MAAT Music (in conjunction with ScorpFaery Productions Publishing) which is receiving radio, TV, and satellite airplay (91.7 FM TX, Sirius Satellite Radio, The Derek & Romaine Show, Radio Crystal Blue, Channel 32, Lifetime Network, Feminine Groove, Engage Radio, etc.) She also visited several major cities on her first solo mini U.S. tour, playing to packed houses in Washington, DC, Los Angeles, and Denver. Amy is currently writing and recording new material in her studio in Williamsburg, where she lives with two inquisitive birds and a magical garden.

"A beautifully raw voice" TheatreDiva
"A wicked piano player and fantastic songwriter" Drew Brody, M-Lab
"Very impressive...as always, what surfaces in (Clarke's) music is passion and soul." Rick Tippett, THE WASHINGTON POST
"When I first heard Amy sing 'From Here', I knew that she had arrived! It's brilliantly crafted, with a tag and melody that haunt you....The story draws you in immediately, and the journey gets to the tagline effortlessly at the end of each chorus, yet it means something new each time. To hear her sing this song, you know that Amy has come into her own, with vocal stylings and dynamics that hold back just enough to keep you hanging on every word. This song has a very appropriate title, because to me, it defines a new phase of Amy as an artist, starting right 'From Here'." - Lorraine Ferro, Songwriter's Hall of Fame, NAPM
(Not Your Landscape) "a beautiful piece of music" Marcy Drexler, National Academy of Popular Music
