This album is completely A Cappella voices with no accompanying instrumentation. Alabanzas are songs of praise in the true folk tradition, passed on in communities through the generations. This collection of ancient alabanzas in praise of the Virgin of Guadalupe are brought to us by Gisela Farias Luna. She grew up in the ranch of El Hato, Veracruz and learned these haunting songs in her community.
