Description
Ha Tran graduated from the Hanoi School of Performing Arts in 1995 and the Hanoi National Conservatory of Music in 2000. In 1994, Ha won the Voice of Vietnamese Professional Student Contest at the age of 17, and she followed that by winning the National Professional Singer Contest in 1995. Since then, she has won various national awards such as Best New Voice and the Rising Star Award. Ha Tran was voted as the most promising young singer in Vietnam in 1996 and 1997. Ha has been consistently voted by the national media and public as one of the top ten singers in Vietnam since 1998. She has also been voted as one of the four top divas in Vietnam since 2002.
Ha has performed throughout Vietnam in more than 20 countries including France, Russia, Australia, and the US. She has performed with renowned international musicians such as UK jazz musician Ian Shaw, American country music legend Lobo, and others. She has also appeared on numerous Vietnamese television shows, and her performances are broadcasted live on television throughout the country.
Ha Tran has recorded and released four solo albums: Em Ve Tinh Khoi (Purity), Bai Tinh Cho Giai Nhan (Love Songs For Beauty), Nhat Thuc (Solar Eclipse), "Ha Tran 98-03," and "Doi Thoai 06" (Communication 06). She has appeared on more than 50 albums with other top singers and musicians in Vietnam including Thanh Lam, Hong Nhung, My Linh, and others. Ha Tran: 98-03 is a collection of her past hits that were reworked and remixed, and the album's cover art was voted best CD artwork for 2005 by the Vietnamese media. The album also contains three rare live tracks of Ha with American jazz musicians from San Francisco. Her newest album is "Communication 06" and was just released in both Vietnam and the U.S.
