Here is a quote from Erika included in the liner notes: I had the wonderful opportunity of discovering the Yaxche Learning Center on October 20, 2005 when I performed a benefit concert for their Hispanic Scholarship Fund. I was so inspired by the school and its guiding principles that I decided to record the evenings show. This CD captures the energy of the discovery. Its a musical photograph of a moment, a flow of inspiration driven by the dialogue of live performance, of the interaction between me and this remarkable community. The Yaxche Learning Center sparks creativity, curiosity, critical thinking and fosters the notions that community, understanding of our interconnectedness, and wisdom that grows from both heart and mind are all fundamental parts of educating our children. I was inspired by what they are doing and am excited to share this joy and inspiration with you. Additionally, all the artwork on this CD was created by students at Yaxche.
