Description
So ... ya say you're ready for some good ole boot stompin, butt kickin southern style country? Well get your dancin boots ready, cause WildFire is comin to your town. Our country and southern rock will entertain you whether you're 6 or 60. We've been paired with the hottest local bands as well as A-list headliners from Nashville.
The WildFire *clan* is:
Ken "KP" Pool - Lead Vox, Rhythm guitar and Guitar Synth. KP's been playin since the tender age of 6 when his daddy taught him a few licks on old 1930 Gibson flat top. Since then, he's been around the block a few times with his music, playin with friends bands and frontin a couple of his own. A child of all music, KP loves to play and it shows in his music. Once he's on stage, its hard to stop him, let alone get him off the stage. KP's anectdotes brings a unique entertainment to the show.
Frank First - Vox, Bass, and Lead Guitar. Known as the "Man with the HUGE bass", Frank's a converted country music man. Bringing in influences of Pantera, Black Sabbath, and Rusted Shut, Frank brings a raw, edgy sound to the WildFire heart. Playing Bass, Guitar, and Saxophone, Frank knows no boundaries in music. Crowds roar when Frank goes ta town.
William "Wild Bill" McAbern - Pedal Steel guitar. We like to call Wild Bill our "Lost Oakridge Boy". Wild Bill's popularity with the crowds is second only to his steel playin. With over 20+ plus years playing steel guitar, Wild Bill has seen his share of country music. Wild Bills smooth and gliding style creates a chill that can make you shudder and can also cry a ballad that brings tears to the crowds.
Tom "Tommy" Green - Vox, Drums, and Percussion. This man knows his drums. With major influences found from christian to rock music, Tommys style and form offers a unique perspective to a style and technique that are all too contemporary. Tom loves to "ham" it up when it comes to the stage and his fans loves to "egg" him on when it comes to his solos. Whether it's southern rock or country, he can change up with the best. Tom is always open to new ideas and loves to try out new stuff.
WildFire has been a country/southern rock mainstay since 1997. We enjoy the large festivals and opening act gigs, but are as much at home doing small outdoor parties. Dancers don't stand a chance when WildFire is on a roll. We've been known to test a few pace makers and sweat glands in a show. Our music genre is country/southern rock, but we also enjoy teasing the crowds with a few rock and roll oldies from the 70's. The crowd never seems to know what might happen next." Our originals are second to none. We take no prisoners.
WildFire is registered with the State Of Michigan and the Worldwide Band Name Registry. We are also participating members of Honky Tonk USA, The ClearChannel Network, Motor City Music Foundation, DetroitCountryMusic.com, MetroTimes.com (Sonic Caf), MichiganBands.com and MichiganArtists.com. We are always available to do parties, weddings, outdoor/special events and clubs.. Check out their website at http://www.wildfiremi.net.
