The Amoris Consort
The Amoris Consort
Beautiful landscapes of New Zealand, a zest of Spanish traditional dance music and the nostalgia of the Palm Court bring sound paintings of accessible, rhythmical melody to display all 5 voices of the oboe family of instruments.

Description
"The CD introduces Jennifer Paull's group of oboists, The Amoris Consort....This is all 20th century music but very approachable. Edwin Carr's portrait of Waiheke Island, where he lives near Auckland, is cleverly written for this ensemble. Leonard Salzedo's inventive Sonata a Tr and his arrangement of Mtys Seiber's Leichte Tnze are no less strikingly inventive, the latter using the musette to great effect."
...Gordon Hunt, Principal oboe, Philharmonia Orchestra, London (British Double Reed Society magazine Double Reed News, No. 41, Winter Edition 1997)
