Description
Early St. Louis music was distinctively southern. It came up the Mississippi River from New Orleans, migled and blended with the sounds and music of the city's various nationalities, and fanned out. Though the years, hundreds of songs have been written for and about her: waltzes, marches, and of course, the blues... all hold a place in her heart. Some of her favorites are in this compact discs along with other reminiscent of the Razzmatazz age. Each of these 16 different vintage musical machines was recorded at the Gay 90's Melody Museum that was located in downtown St. Louis, Missouri, by pioneer mechanical musical collecter and restorer Paul Eakins.
