R. J. Morris has written and recorded many songs over the years. He toured with, and fronted for, many of the biggest names in music while polishing his songwriting and entertaining skills over a long career. After a break from professional music to pursue other interests, he has returned with a new release that crosses the boundaries of Blues and Jazz.

A Personal Message

If you like the Blues, if you have ever lived the Blues, or if you just wish someone you know could get the Blues, then I believe you will find something in my music you can relate with.

All sixteen songs on this CD were written by myself. I attempted to cover as many styles of the Blues as possible in composing this collection.

I will freely admit that my music is strongly influenced by those great Blues & Jazz people whose work I admire. The lyrics are probably a reflection of my own life experiences and observations, but again I have been strongly influenced by those same people and their styles. Having said that, I have not consciously tried to emulate anyone else or their material. What you hear is myself singing the Blues I created in my own style.

Whether you are a stone cold fan or youre just sampling the Blues for the first time, I hope you will enjoy my music as much as I enjoy creating and performing it.
