My name is Paul Sampler a.k.a Paulo Guimares. I am an Electronic Music Producer, and this is my album "Strange Language Songs". I produced all of the songs in this album. I also played, programmed, recorded, mixed and mastered each without external help. This is an electronic downtempo record in the D.I.Y (Do-It-Yourself) way. Is important to remind you that music is art. It is related to feelings and sensations. People will always experiment with it differently. Let me share with you my music background. I have studied all aspects of music and recording all my life and finally created a record that I like. I started very young in my natural country, Brazil. I grew up playing bass in local bands, recording some ideas, playing with amazing musicians, good friends and trying new things in this world of illusion. I always was a technology geek and all the money that I had was used to by equipment. One of my most favorites was the Sampler Roland DJ-70; this was the reason why my friends started calling me by the nickname Paul Sampler. I was the first one to have sampler equipment in my city, probably in my country. Because in the 90's it was very difficult to buy imported electronics in my country due to local laws. After some years, I started my own CD-R duplication company, to mainly support my dreams in the music world, and I succeed for a long time. My company produced in 5 years more than 250,000 CDs. This is a very good result if you consider that my company was in my mothers garage and that I was the only one tending to all the tasks. Currently, I am living in Orlando doing my best to promote my music. Maybe this will be the most difficult, but success is about working hard. Sometimes you need just one word to start revolution in your life. So don't be afraid to realize your real dreams. Try to do what you believe, and live in peace with yourself. I hope that you enjoy my music !!!
